Ministry Training Scheme 2018 - 2019


The Ministry Training Scheme is a one or two year ministry training programme. It combines biblical and theological training with hands-on ministry experience alongside a member of the staff team in a particular sphere of church life. It's particularly designed for those who are growing in Christian maturity and leadership.

Minister (Fellowship Groups)


Exciting role in a vibrant and diverse central London church. The opportunity has arisen to join a committed church and staff team. Key responsibilities of this significant role are to:
  • oversee and develop the ministry and vision of the church’s +60 Fellowship Groups around London, nurturing leaders, strengthening groups in God’s word and growing disciples
  • share in the pastoral care of an international church family
  • engage newcomers and church members to use their gifts in service of Christ here in London and around the world
Essential qualities.  We are looking for someone who:
  • is a committed conservative evangelical Christian in full sympathy with the aims and values of All Souls Church ministry, having a regard for the supreme authority of the Bible and a desire to communicate the truths contained therein.
  • is a disciple wanting to know Christ more and grow in grace, obedience and Christlikeness themselves.
  • is a team player and a hard worker with a servant heart who loves people.
  • is committed to the importance of small groups in the life of the church and with a vision for developing effective discipleship, service and evangelism through these groups throughout London.
  • has a track record of leading a substantial small-group discipleship ministry in the context of an international city-centre church and of training and supporting leaders in discipleship and pastoral care.
  • is faithful in handling God’s word and experienced in writing Bible study material and other resources for use in multicultural groups.
  • is aware of issues faced by those living and working in an international city, with experience of overseeing pastoral care within a multicultural church
  • is experienced in working within an international ministry and committed to helping others grow as members of God’s international church
  • has experience of welcoming and integrating new members into a large church with high congregational turnover, helping members find their place and use their gifts in the service of Christ
  • is able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing,  confident both in an up-front role and in relating to individuals, with excellent interpersonal, administrative and IT skills

Salary: £25,583 (inclusive of London Allowance) 
In accordance with All Souls housing policy, the post-holder’s remuneration will include housing provision (housing, utilities and council tax) or a housing allowance.
